Hue imperial city is the last capital of Vietnamese Feudal from 1802 to 1945, the Complex Monuments of Hue was recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1993.
Hue capital was built on the North of Perfume riverside, the complex of monuments includes: The Imperial City, the Citadel, 7 Royal tomb compounds of 9 Kings of Nguyen dynasty, the Esplanade of Nam Giao, the Ho Quyen arena, Hon Chen temple, Thien Mu pagoda,… The complex was built by the best craftsman from traditional villages, so every part of the complex are essence and has soul of Vietnamese people.
We will begin the journey to explore the lives of Nguyen dynasty kings inside the Citadel, walk on ancient, peaceful lane, touch old wall and brick, you could image the live in the past. The Kings believed that after the death, they would go to another world, so they built their tomb which became their house in the new world. A tomb was effected by personal character of the King: splendour of Gia Long tomb, silence of Minh Mang tomb, serene of Thieu Tri tomb, romantic of Tu Duc tomb, Simple of Duc Duc tomb, elegance of Dong Khanh tomb, ingenious of Khai Dinh tomb.
Hue people have a light and peaceful soul, they have a gentle and expressive voice. Hue has a very slow speed of life. We hope after enjoy a traditional performance on a boat on Perfume river, you could feel the spirit of Hue.
